NEW ORLEANS, LA (July, 2011)—Kristi Taglauer, who managed HRI Lodging’s Chateau Bourbon Hotel-A Wyndham Historic Hotel, has been named general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn French Quarter/CBD at 821 Gravier Street, announced Gary Gutierrez, president of HRI Lodging.
“HRI Lodging is fortunate to have an experienced, proven talented team of managers like Kristi Taglauer,” said Gutierrez. “Kristi has achieved remarkable success at Chateau Bourbon, and we are confident of similar results at Hilton Garden Inn French Quarter/CBD,” he added.
HRI’s Hilton Garden Inn French Quarter/CBD offers 155 rooms and about 2,000 square feet of meeting space. The property was developed in 2004 by HRI as a conversion from an empty office building originally constructed in 1956 in the International Style.
The hotel features a heated rooftop swimming pool, 24-hour business center, free WiFi Internet access in all rooms and a fitness center.
Taglauer has worked in management at several New Orleans hotels for nearly 20 years. Before joining HRI Lodging, she served as general manager of The Whitney-A Wyndham Historic Hotel. She also worked in management positions at the Omni Royal Orleans and the Bourbon Orleans-A Wyndham Historic Hotel. She served as general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Airport and the Holiday Inn, Covington, LA.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from University of New Orleans in the school’s Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism program.
